Petaluma Argus-Courier: Local group unveils latest plans for Petaluma River Park

In the latest step to a fully realized Petaluma River Park, the local group behind the effort has announced that new draft plans will be released Monday for public inspection and feedback.

“Over the last six months we’ve done extensive, intensive, community engagement over what we want the park to be,” said Seair Lorentz, executive director of the Petaluma River Park Foundation, adding that the plans were developed with input from the public as well as park designers, landscape architects, artists and others.

Now the public is being asked to review the new draft plans and provide further input on what Lorenz called a “highly ambitious, large-scale transformative development” in the middle of the Petaluma River.
