The Community Park Designers are a group of 15 people who are actively collaborating in our park development process. Representing populations often at the margins of park planning and design, this co-creation approach is designed to build trust, foster strong community relationships, and help ensure that values, needs, and aspirations for the park are inclusive and equitable.
The Community Park Designers do not meet publicly, but meeting outcomes are summarized, and their input is incorporated in planning documents which will be shared with the broader public this summer.
On August 19, Community Park Designers will review the preferred concept for the park, which synthesizes community comments on three alternative proposals for park design.
